The North Shore, also known as the North Shore, is the name commonly given to the entire northern suburbs of the Montreal metropolitan area, in Quebec.
Its territory extends along the north shore of the Mille Îles River and is made up of 20 municipalities spread between the Laurentides and Lanaudière regions.
Although the city of Laval is commonly, but erroneously, associated with the North Shore, it is not part of it due to its island status.
The North Shore of Montreal has a population of approximately 555,700.
